Patrizia, born and raised in Germany, emigrated to Nova Scotia in 2019, bringing with her a BA degree, a graphic design business, and her husband Linus! Inspired by her love of nature, colour, and Cape Breton, Patrizia created Kautzi, which serves as her creative outlet; she cuts and assembles designs from old cardboard boxes, which she then scans and digitally edits - a process that provides her illustrations their characteristic rough, textured, and playful look.
