New and improved recipe! We've kept the features of our best-selling shaving kit that you loved (oil-tanned leather, with veg tan accents, antique brass zipper), and gave the rest a tune-up. The Washabuck is now lined with 10oz waxed canvas and boasts a lined outside pocket with a magnetic snap. The perfect size Dopp kit: long enough for your toothpaste tube, and big enough to hold everything else. It's time to clean up your vanity.

"We use pebbled oil-tanned leather for the body of this bag - a soft and supple leather with beautiful grain and pull up. The accents feature the finest full grain vegetable tanned leather from Wickett and Craig. The bags are fully lined, and seams are covered for a clean look inside and out. Our vintage Singer 111 machine is our workhorse, and is threaded with the finest Vinymo thread. The rest is done with a variety of hand tools and presses. We line our bags with waxed canvas - a product which shares many characteristics with leather. Both will patina and age beautifully, and will begin to tell their own story as you take them on your once-in-a-lifetime & everyday adventures."

BAG - KODIAK LEATHER:

We use an oil-tanned Kodiak hide which is super supple and soft, making it ideal for bags. Kodiak also has a great pull-up to it. This means that as you crease, wrinkle and scratch the leather, it will show. It gives great depth and character to the bag. As all high-quality leathers do, Kodiak will darken and scratch over time, creating a beautiful patina - something which is revered by lovers of leather goods.

STRAPS - WICKETT & CRAIG LEATHER:

Founded in 1867, Wickett and Craig are one of two veg-tan tanneries left in the States (Pennsylvania to be exact). The tanning process, called veg-tanning, is a natural, eco-friendly process that creates rich and smooth leathers of superior quality. We use harness leather, which is hot stuffed with waxes and tallows to ensure durability and colour depth. The whole process takes about 6 weeks, but it’s well worth the wait.

LINER - WAXED DUCK CANVAS

There’s a reason that leather and waxed canvas work so well together. The tightly woven cotton canvas is super durable and is also water-repellent thanks to the non-toxic wax treatment. It’s thick, it's strong, and it also patinas - a bit like leather. As you use and abuse your product, you’ll see wear points darken and start to get a little shiny.
